Written in a swing style, the piece opens with a slow, unaccompanied introduction before bursting into a fast, punchy and jazzy second section driven by syncopated rhythms. A real winner with both players and audiences.

Frequent dynamic changes add interest, and the contrasting middle section encourages expressive playing, with crotchet movement bringing a gentle sense of momentum.
